Along with the
standard BSAC courses, Blue Water Divers also provide
opportunities for divers wishing to push the boundaries further.
Many Branch
members are qualified and actively use Nitrox and Trimix to
increase dive times and explore deeper dive sites.
We encourage and promote the use and safety benefits of
twin-sets to new diver trainees from an early stage and we also
have Branch members who solely employ Rebreather technology to
fulfil their diving interests.
In addition to
regular Branch diving trips, we have members that have arranged
and been involved in several Expeditions.

Regular
deep wreck diving is organised for appropriately qualified and
experienced members to locations including Plymouth, Eyemouth,
Orkney and Scotland’s West Coast.
These dives are not always exclusive to Blue Water Divers
and we regularly open dives up or join other diving groups in
order to fill spaces and generate interest in the Branch.
When the prevailing weather is unkind or tides
unsuitable, we often use Dorothea Quarry in North Wales for deep
training dives.
